George Copos is upgrading Hilton, Crowne Plaza and Sport hotels

The owner of Ana company group, George Copos businessman, contracted a EUR 25 mil. loan from BRD-Societe Generale.

Copos stated that EUR 13 mil. from the loan will be directed for upgrading three hotels of the portfolio, namely Hilton, Crowne Plaza and Sport, while the rest of 12 EUR mil. will repay older loans.

Hilton hotel will benefit of an investment valued at over EUR 1.5 mil. for rehabilitate ground floor in a 1914 style. The works will start in November and will be completed in March 2010.

EUR 3.5 mil. will be invested for Crowne Plaza hotel in order to rehabilitate the public area and to construct a spa similar to the one in Eforie.

Sport hotel in Poiana Brasov will be entirely rebuilt to include a wellness center, stated Copos. The value of this project reaches at EUR 7-8 mil.
