Four tourist trails to promote wine tradition in Romania

The program to promote the wine tradition in Romania was officially launched two weeks ago, within the International Wine Show in Timisoara. There are four tourist trails to be promoted, to which 14 wine cellars, owned by 13 wine producers in the country, have already subscribed.

Lucian Parvu, expert taster within Vin-Vest, organizer of the International Wine Show, stated that the packages will be promoted by two travel agencies in Romania and Austria.

The first tour, available in weekends, includes Elite Wine, Wine Princess and Pancota wine cellar in Arad, located in the region named by the viticulturists the final expansion towards West of Zarand Piedmont.

During the second trail, which takes a week, tourists can visit the vineyards in Arad and also the wine cellar from Satu-Mare, Weingut Brutler&Lieb, Jidvei area in Alba county, or taste the wines produced in Vanju Mare area and stored in Vinarte and Vie Vin de Vanju Mare wine cellars.

The third trail envisages the wine cellars located in the South-Eastern area of the country and takes three days. Tourists will pay a visit to Dealu Mare Urlati, Davino, S.E. R.V.E. Ceptura, Vinarte Dealu Mare areas and end the tour at Ostrov territories, in Constanta county.

The fourth tour, of seven days starts at the wine cellars from Dealu Mare Vineyard and continues in Moldova region. Not far from Iasi city, tourists can taste the wines produced by Gramma Casa Olteanu, the last wine cellar included in the tour which belongs to Cotnari vineyard.
