Expanding works of the boarding gates on Henri Coanda International Airport will be completed in October, ensuring a capacity of 6 million passengers per year, compared to the 4.5 million, at present.
The area of the boarding space will increase from 7,500 sq m to 24,100 sq m, when completed, while the number of embarking-debarking walkways will reach 14, compared to 5 at present.
The investment is part of Phase III of the objective “AIHCB Development and Modernizing”.
