The rehabilitation of water infrastructure, sewerage, roads and public lighting in Geoagiu Bai resort will be possible as a result of an European financed project valued at EUR 7.2 mil.
98% of the total value of the project consists of non-reimbursable funds, obtained within the Regional Operational Program. A local co-financing will cover the difference.
Simion Maris, mayor of the city, announced that the auction was launched on the Electronic System of Public Purchasing and construction works could start in September 2009.
The project includes the replacement of water supply networks and swerage in the resort on a 4 km length, rehabilitating the pedestrian streets, access roads and public lighting system, including the decorative lighting.
