Add comment
A group of Austrian businessmen plan to invest EUR 60 mil. in the next 5 years in Covasna county, to develop a complex, including a hotel, a youth centre, a shopping and dwellings street. The investment will be covered 30% by own sources and the rest will be supported by bank loans.

Ernst Pebal, manager of Transilvanian Business Development and representative of the Austrian investors, stated that the place where the complex will be developed is located near Varghis locality. Construction works will start next spring.

The project will be named Riverside and will include a 3 star hotel with 160 rooms, spa centre and wellness, swimming pool, cafe bar and conference halls, a youth centre with fitness centre, football, handball or volley courses as well as a shopping street.

Also, a golf course, which is planned to be developed nearby Riverside on an area of 100 ha, still waits for investors.

Pebal expects the investment will be amortized in 12 years.
