Vatra Dornei spa resort planned investment worth EUR 6 mil. this year but a considerable amount is conditioned by implementing the projects financed through European funds according to the data provided by the City Hall.
The investments envisage rehabilitating tourism infrastructure, expanding and modernizing wastewater and storm water networks, rehabilitating schools, modernizing and expanding the center for old persons and developing social dwellings.
The sources to support the investments are local budget, European funds and bank loans.
In 2009, Vatra Dornei resort reported a decrease by approximately 10% of tourists’ number down to 48,300.
