The authorities of Piatra Neamt announced the completion of the feasibility study and technical-economic indicators for the investment project entitled “Tourism planning of the natural protected area – Cuejdel Lake, Garcina locality, Neamt county”. In December 2007, Piatra Neamt city hall was granted the project finance through the Regional Operational Program, 2007-2013. The project will be completed within 24 months and the investment reaches EUR 5.5 mil. Local authorities will provide 2% of the necessary amount for the project, EUR 110,000, while 13% of the amount, EUR 715,000 will be supported by the state budget and the difference of EUR 4,675,000 will be covered by European funds. The Ministry for Development financed the feasibility study and technical economic indicators for the investment project. The project for tourism planning of the Cuejdel Lake implies modernizing works on the access road, constructions works and setting up the facilities for the camp site.
