EUR 3.97 mil. investment for a chair lift in Sinaia resort

The city hall of Sinaia resort, Prahova county, plans to purchase a cable chair lift equipment for Valea Soarelui ski area, for a total consideration of EUR 3.97 mil.

The individual chairs will have a capacity of 4 covered seats. The chair lift will operate in Sinaia resort, from 1,785 m altitude to 2,080 m. 

Vlad Oprea, Mayor, stated the Governement approved through a decision to allocate EUR 2.26 mil. for the local administration of Sinaia city, in addition to local resources, to financially support tourism investment projects for 2009.

The auction to acquire the chair lift will be held on June 10. Construction works could start in July and be completed until January 2010.
