In 2008, the first 10 travel agencies in Romania registered a cumulated turnover of EUR 293 mil., 30% higher than in 2007.
For 2009, the agencies expect a few percents growth, while most market players would be content with stagnation.
Happy Tour travel agency registered EUR 51 mil. turnover in 2008, while for the current year Gabriel Ionescu, general manager of the company foresees a 5% increase of the turnover.
Touring Europabus Romania, owned by Dragos Anastasiu businessman, registered a turnover of EUR 24.8 mil. For the current year, the company estimates a 5% growth also.
Go Travel agency registered EUR 17 mil. turnover in 2008, while for this year expects a 10% growth.
J’Info Tours estimates for 2009 a 15% increase of the turnover compared to 2008, when it registered a turnover of EUR 32 mil.
