Cluj-Napoca International Airport will invest approximately EUR 100 mil. in developing a runway on 3,500 sq m, which will be completed until 2014. The investment will be supported both by own sources and European funds.
Completing this projects implies the purchase of 200 ha area and deviating Somes river.
An increase by 6% of passengers’ traffic is expected for the current year, up to 800,000.
The investments in Cluj-Napoca Airport reached approximately EUR 50 mil. in the past 2 years.
