EUR 1 bn. investment in the future resort Carpatica in Brasov county

The American business man Jim Shivers plans to develop one of the most modern resorts in Romania, in Tarlungeni, Brasov county. The new resort will include 14 ski slopes, a 5 star hotel, villas and luxurious apartments, shops, conference hall, casino and sport centre.

The resort will be developed on 1,600 ha in Dalghiu area, Ciucas Mountain, by the American Development company, within Carpatica project, to be developed together with Tarlungeni City Hall and Brasov Local County.

Shivers brought architects from USA and Dubai for this project to study the region, as he intends to preserve the local architecture.

The businessman stated that he plans to invest over EUR 1 bn. and expects to open the new resort within 5 years. Construction works will start by the end of this year.
