Dismissals in Bucharest hotels

Add comment

Due to the low occupancy rate, the biggest hotels in the Romanian capital started personnel restructuring.

Radisson SAS has already dismissed a part of its employees so that at present, the company has 15% less employees than in March 2008, when 350 people worked within the hotel. Initially, the hotel representatives announced that at the time of the official opening, which took place in September, the company would have 400 employees.

Rin Grand Hotel put out approximately 10-12% of 600 employees. Ionut Negoita mentioned that similar measures have been taken in the other 3 hotels within Pro Confort group.

JW Marriott hasn’t considered this measure yet but, if necessary, shareholders will approve it, stated Fahti Taher businessman.

George Copos businessman stated that, at present, Ana Hotels will not dismiss personnel and will try to keep a balance of one employee per room at the hotels owned in Bucharest. Regarding the other hotels of the group, the personnel has been shifted between mountain resorts hotels and seaside ones but there will be no cuts, promised the businessman.
