On March 10, Hilton Hotels Corp. announced launching on the market of a new hotel brand, named Denizen Hotels, within the International Hotel Investment Forum, IHIF in Berlin, thus expanding its brand portfolio.
Christopher J. Nassetta, President and CEO within Hilton Hotels Corp., stated that the Denizen Hotels brand demonstrates the company’s commitment to invest in the long-term development strategy.
Denizen Hotels will target both business and leisure guests, while high standard services will have an accessible price. The new brand enriches the luxury & lifestyle segment of the company, which also includes hotels such as Waldorf Astoria, Waldorf Astoria Collection and Conrad Hotels & Resorts.
Denizen literally means “citizen of the world”, stated Ross Klein, global head of luxury & lifestyle brands for Hilton. The concept is dedicated to the guests who expect an extraordinary hotel experience, both on an emotional and functional level. Social and interactive spaces, destined to an active community in a last generation high tech envinronment, represents the core of Denizen Hotels brand. Therefore, international renowned architects and designers such as Charles Allem, Clodagh and David Rockwell will design the indoor and outdoor spaces. Denizen Hotels will comprise cosmopolitan destinations as well as resorts, ranging from exclusivist experiences to popular destinations, everything under the Hilton brands reputation.
At present, the chain is having negotiating for several units in resorts and main cities throughout the globe such as Abu Dhabi, Austin, Beverly Hills, Buenos Aires, Cancun, Hollywood, Istanbul, Jerusalem, Las Vegas, London, Los Cabos, Miami, Montreal, Mumbai, New York, Panama City and Washington DC.
Hilton Hotels Corp. owns over 3,200 hotel units worldwide, with 545,000 rooms in 77 countries.
