Delta Airlines suspended the Bucharest-New York direct flight

Add comment
Delta Airlines company dropped the only direct flight on Bucharest-New York route at the beginning of September, due to the low tariffs which were not covering the operating costs. The operator aimed to perform this flight between June 2 and October 30.

Even if the occupancy was according to the initial target, approximately 80%, the company had to cancel the flight towards Bucharest, as it was not profitable.

Delta Airlines entered the local market in June 2007, after an almost 10 years absence.
