Add comment

In the first months of this year, domestic cruise market registered an increase by 33% compared to last year, up to EUR 4 mil., stated Luciana Petrescu, General Manager of the consulting company Net Worth Advisory.

In order to attract more tourists on cruise segment, domestic tourism operators came up with varied offers and programs, such as shopping vouchers on the ship.

More than 75% of tourists chose cheap and average cruises, with prices ranging between EUR 600 and 1,500 for a cruise.

The most frequent destinations were Mediterranean Sea, North Sea and Norway coasts.

Over 5,000 Romanians are expected to choose a cruise until the end of the year.

In 2008, the national cruise market doubled compared to 2007, worth EUR 3 mil.
