Crowne Plaza: revenues fell 34% in S1

Crowne Plaza hotel in the capital, 5 star classified, owned by George Copos businessman, reported a turnover of approximately EUR 3 mil., 34% lower than the same period last year, stated the company’s representatives.

Most of hotel’s guests, 85% respectively, came from the corporate segment, as in the case of the most hotels in the capital.

Crowne Plaza hotel operates 164 rooms and registered an occupancy rate up to 60% in the first semester, according to the company’s representatives.

At the same time, the investment in modernizing the unit raised from EUR 100,000 to EUR 2-3 mil., in order for all hotel areas to be renovated, not only the rooms and conference halls as initially planned.
