Continental Hotels: EUR 6.15 mil. loss in 2009

Continental Hotels hotel company, controlled by Radu Enache businessman, posted loss of EUR 6.15 mil. in 2009, increasing compared to the EUR 2.77 loss in 2008.

The company’s turnover dropped to EUR 22.1 mil. last year, from EUR 26.4 mil. in 2008.

Over the last two years, the company invested approximately EUR 8.5 mil. in modernizing the 5 star hotel in the capital, Grand Hotel Continental, which re-opened by the end of last year. For the first year of opening, the hotel’s representatives estimate EUR 2.6 mil. turnover.

For the entire group, Continental management estimates EUR 24.5 mil. turnover and 60% occupancy.
