On September 23, the local administration in Mangalia took over the management of the touristic port in the locality, after the one year guarantee, period provided by the constructor Argos SA, ended.
The port’s rehabilitation was supported by European funds. The infrastructure of the area was also improved to allow the development of nautical sector.
146 of docking places were built for boats of different lengths following the investments. The port area is monitored. Boats owners benefit of terminals at piers for water and electric power supply. Also, cleaning services with biodegradable detergent for boats are available.
The investment’s value is over EUR 4 mil., out of which the contribution of the Local Council of Mangalia is EUR 651,418.
