The Chinese company Harbour Engineering plans to invest in modernizing Iasi International Airport. The company hasn’t yet considered a private – public partnership, stated
Constantin Simirad, president of Iasi County Council.
According to the feasibility study, the project for rehabilitating the airport includes EUR 200 mil. investment.
Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. is owned at present by the Chinese state. In 2007 the value of its international contracts was USD 2 bn.
