Carpatair airline posted EUR 65 mil. turnover last year, decreasing by 20% compared to 2008, as a result of lower activity, due to the economic crisis and to lower demand.
For the current year, the company foresees that turnover will match the level of 2008, as the western countries economy improves, especially Germany economy, which generated significant flow of business tourists towards western Romania.
In 2009, Carpatair transported 502,000 passengers, decreasing by 15-17% compared to 2008, while the average occupancy of aircrafts dropped from 68% in 2008, to 60% last year.
