Capital Plaza Hotel in Bucharest, 4 star classified, registered an occupancy of 33% in the first two months of the year, compared to the rate below 20%, reported in the last quarter of 2009, stated Catalin Stefan, General Manager of the hotel.
The revenues in the first two months of the year reached over EUR 100,000, while for the whole year 2010, the unit forecasts EUR 1.6 mil. turnover and 45-50% occupancy, stated Stefan. The revenues resulted from the accommodation segment account for 60%, while the revenues generated by the events segment represent 40% according to the General Manager of the hotel.
Most hotel guests, approximately 60%, are foreign businessmen from Italy, Spain, Germany and Great Britain.
Capital Plaza comprises 95 rooms and 5 conference halls and opened officially in September 2009, following EUR 6.6 mil. investment. The unit is controlled by four local entrepreneurs, namely Dumitru Popa, Riza Nicolae, Valentin Nedelea and Mugur Chifulescu, through Corvinus International company.
