Bucovina monasteries to be included in a European cultural tour

Bucovina Monasteries will be included in the project of the European Commission regarding the promotion of a cultural route.

Gheorghe Flutur, President of Suceava County Council, stated that the project envisages the churches with outward murals from Bucovina region.

Flutur specified that the route, which includes the 7 UNESCO churches in Suceava county, could be expanded to the other churches with outward murals in the county, but also to the churches from Neamt county.

The representative of the County Council stated that the project is complex in terms of modernizing the access and setting up tourism information centers.

At present, three monasteries located in Suceava - Dragomirna, Sucevita si Moldovita are under rehabilitation process, financing supported by the European funds through the Regional Operational Program.
