At the end of last year, Radisson SAS hotel in Bucharest was valued at EUR 52.3 mil. according to the accountancy of Bucuresti Turism company, representing the value of the building without amenities. Hotel’s valuation considering the number of rooms is approximately of EUR 51 mil. for the 424 rooms operated by Radisson SAS hotel. Mircea Draghici, project manager on hotels division within CB Richard Ellis / Eurisko real estate company stated that a room of a 5 star hotel is valued at EUR 120,000 on the Romanian market but it varies from hotel to hotel. Bucuresti Turism company also owns, along with Radisson Hotel, Centre Ville apart hotel complex, valued at EUR 18.7 mil. and the land located near the two properties, valued at EUR 37.1 mil. The value of the fixed assets in the patrimony of Bucuresti Turism reached EUR 121.5 mil. at December 31, 2008. In 2008, Bucuresti Turism registered businesses of EUR 15.5 mil. and losses of EUR 17.8 mil. The company has a loan contracted through the syndicate of EUR 46 mil. for 10 years from Piraeus Bank and another from the main shareholder of EUR 25 mil. The hotel company is controlled by Israeli group Elbit Medical Imaging, through BEA Hotels company.
