In 2009, Blue Air low-cost company posted a turnover over EUR 140 mil., under the estimates of EUR 170 mil. at the beginning of the financial year. The decrease is the result of the reductions made in order to maintain the market share, announced the company’s representatives.
For this year, the company’s representatives forecast a 33% turnover increase, up to EUR 200 mil.
The airline company transported 1.7 mil. passengers from and towards Romania last year. For 2010, Blue Air expects an increase by 30%, up to 2.2 mil. passengers.
Blue Air currently has 830 employees and plans to hire 200 more flight personnel and maintenance technicians this year.
