Blue Air airlines will purchase 10 aircrafts worth USD 1 bn.

Blue Air Romanian low-cost operator initiated negotiations to purchase 10 additional Boeing 737 Next Generation aircrafts, 800 and 900 series, with catalogue price likely to exceed USD 1 bn.

In 2008, Blue Air company signed a contract to purchase 5 Boeing 737 aircrafts, which will be delivered within 4 years.

Adrian Ionascu, General Manager of Blue Air, stated that the purchase of the aircrafts with higher capacity will ease passengers transport, as their number continues to grow.

Since the company was set up, the number of passengers flying with Blue Air exceeded 3 mil., specified Ionascu.
