Malin Malineanu, development coordinator of Best Western hotel chain for Romania considers that during the financial crisis, the affiliation of renowned international chain is the way to ensure the surviving of small hotels, as the hotel chain provides a portfolio of its own clients.
According to the development coordinator, travels reduction have an impact on the hotel market in Romania.
Malineanu stated that due to the decrease of airline traffic, overnight stays will drop, which leads to a reduction of hotel owners profits.
Best Western has affiliated 13 hotels in Romania and by the end of the next year envisages to reach a total of 20 affiliated units.
