Baneasa Airport: increasing passengers' traffic by 26% in the first semester

In the first semester of this year, Aurel Vlaicu-Baneasa International Airport registered 935,835 passengers’ traffic, increasing by 26% compared to the similar period last year, when it registered 743,207 passengers.

Take offs and landings cumulated 15,249, 17.8% higher than compared to the first semester in 2008, when the aircrafts registered 12,943 movements.

In the first six months, the airport reported EUR 5.2 mil. profit, EUR 12.57 mil. revenues and EUR 6.69 mil. expenditures.

Taxes paid by airlines companies generated 80% of the revenues. The difference came from renting spaces and other revenues.
