Baneasa airport: 14% increase in passengers' number in 2009

Baneasa Airport estimates 2,005,694 passengers for 2009, increasing by 14% compared to 2008. The most crowded months were August – with 216,099 passengers, July – 208,814, September – 181,687 passengers and December, when 181,248 persons are estimated to have transited the airport, as  the balance sheet of the airport shows.

In the first nine months of the last year, Baneasa Airport reported investments of EUR 1.1 mil. in Gecad program, repairs, landing direction light, air-conditioning, furniture and office suppliers.

Baneasa Airport reported EUR 18 mil. turnover from January to October 2009, increasing by 48% compared to the same period last year, when it reported EUR 12.2 turnover. The profit reported in the period reached EUR 8.5 mil.
