On January 12th, the boarding council of Alitalia airline approved the 25% taking over by Air France – KLM group. The French – Danish operator increased the initial amount for the take over from EUR 250 mil. up to EUR 323 mil. Air France – KLM accepted to increase the amount after Alitalia took ever Air One company, increasing thus the company’s value to EUR 1.2 bn. Following the take over of the participation, Air France – KLM will become the biggest shareholder of Alitalia, the rest of the shares being controlled by other 16 investors.
