42 projects are scheduled in the hotel sector in Romania this year, with an average investment between EUR 700,000 and 950,000, according to the data of IBC Focus, the monitoring company for construction market.
Out of the projects scheduled for the current year, 25 are under developing, 9 are under designing phase and 8 are under planning.
24 projects are valued on average at EUR 700,000 - 950,000, 11 are valued at over EUR 950,000, while the other projects are valued under EUR 230,000, according to the IBC Focus report, carried out between December 2 and January 11.
Out of the total, 3 projects are located in Bucharest, 10 projects are located in the central area of Romania, 8 are located in the North-Eastern and and 8 in the North-Western area, 5 in the South-Eastern and 3 in the South-Western area of Romania.
According to the IBC Focus, 305 hotel projects were announced at a national level in 2009.
On the hotels and relaxing activity sector, most projects are related to leisure segment, investors having scheduled 823 such projects last year. This segment includes pools, gym halls, spa and treatment centers, restaurants, cafes, exhibits and conference spaces, as well as museums and theatres.
According to the report, the central part of the country ranks first, considering the number of projects registered in 2009. This trend will also continue in 2010.
