40,293 tourists visited Brasov county in October

In October, 40,293 tourists visited Brasov county, out of which 34,280 were Romanians and 6,013 foreigners according to the data provided by DJS Brasov, the County Direction of Statistics.

Arrivals in accommodation facilities in Brasov county dropped by 20.5% in that period. Out of these, 85.1% were arrivals of Romanian tourists, dropping compared to October 2008, when it reached 86.2%.

The number of overnight stays was of 79,148 tourists, out of which 66,034 were Romanian tourists and 13,114 were foreign tourists.

The net occupancy of accommodation establishments dropped by 5.2% in October 2009 compared to the same month in 2008.

377,444 tourists visited Brasov county between January, 1 and October 31, 2009, out of which 308,704 were Romanians and 68,740 were foreigners.

Arrivals reported in accommodation facilities in Brasov county registered 22% decrease compared to the same period in 2008, while the number of overnight stays dropped 24.3%, down to 814,641 tourists, out of which 663,407 were Romanians and 151,234 were foreigners.
