20% decrease of occupancy in spa resorts in the first four months of 2010

Nicu Radulescu, the President of the Organization of Spa Owners in Romania, OPTBR, stated that the occupancy in hotels from spa resorts dropped 20% in the first four months of the year, due to the decline of tourists’ number coming through the Labor Ministry, but also to the decline in foreign tourists.

Radulescu also stated that this year the reticence of travel agencies as regards contracting a higher number of bed places in spa resorts has contributed to this decline.
